About Dr Mobini & ACPNS

Dr Sirous Mobini is a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist. Dr Mobini completed his PhD at the University of Nottingham and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) at the University of East Anglia. He completed his postgraduate training in Neuropsychology at the University of Glasgow and is on the Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists, Division of Neuropsychology, British Psychological Society (SRCN). He is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and an accredited CBT therapist with BABCP. He also completed Cardiff University Law School Bond Solon Civil Expert Certification (CUBS). 

Dr Mobini has worked in mental health and neurorehabilitation services within the NHS and private/independent organisations in inpatient, community and outpatient settings. He has published his research extensively in peer reviewed journals and presented his research data in conferences and seminars both nationally and internationally. His research interests include neuropsychological rehabilitation for people with brain injury and developing psychological therapies for people with impulse control problems.

As a researcher and academic, Dr Mobini has worked in various UK universities (Birmingham, Sussex, University of East Anglia, University College London) and as a Senior Lecture at the University of Newcastle (Australia). He is currently a Conjoint Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Newcastle, Australia and a Senior Research Fellow at University College London, Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience. He is also Sessional Academic in Clinical Neuropsychology Course at the Canterbury Christ Church University.
